Assembly Engineer
Voortman Steel Group is a leader in designing and building advanced CNC steel processing machines. They are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical/Electrical Assembler responsible for assembling machines to high-quality standards while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities
Interpret mechanical and/or electrical assembly drawings to prepare for build activities
Verify the availability of all required parts, tools, and materials before beginning assembly
Review parts lists and report any discrepancies to the supervisor to avoid workflow interruptions
Assemble machines and/or control boxes according to technical specifications and timelines
Follow technical manuals, guidelines, and industry regulations to ensure accurate installation
Collaborate with engineers and supervisors during post-assembly inspections
Perform quality checks on your own work using drawings and specifications
Complete inspection checklists and document testing outcomes
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, escalating to the supervisor as necessary
Qualification
Required
Technical background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (vocational training or equivalent experience)
Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical and/or electrical technical drawings
High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and precision
Strong problem-solving skills in a production or assembly environment
