Client Finance Analyst
Dentsu is a global agency that leverages the power of sports and entertainment for brands. They are seeking a Client Finance Analyst to manage financial setups and ongoing management of client projects, ensuring accurate job tracking, reconciliations, and revenue forecasting.

Responsibilities
Own financial setup and ongoing management of jobs and projects across a portfolio of client accounts
Ensure accurate job creation, scope alignment, cost tracking, and budget maintenance throughout the project lifecycle
Partner with Client Engagement Managers to identify, communicate, and resolve budget variances or scope changes
Partner with delivery teams to perform regular job-level reconciliations between project plans, time entry, costs, and financial systems
Ensure WIP, unbilled revenue, and deferred revenue are accurately tracked and reconciled
Support month-end close activities related to client billing and revenue accuracy
Maintain strong financial controls and documentation to support audits and internal reviews
Support account teams with revenue forecasting by validating job data, YTD revenue and projections for the remainder of the year
Monitor actuals vs. forecasted revenue and flag risks or discrepancies to finance leadership and engagement teams
Assist in revenue actualization by ensuring jobs are updated, revenue is recognized appropriately, and financial data reflects project reality across the correct departments
Monitor and analyze client and scope profitability by leveraging time tracking and revenue data
Partner with Client Engagement Managers and Delivery Teams to ensure accurate and timely timesheet entry
Translate time-based data into clear insights on effective utilization, burn rates, and margin performance
Identify profitability risks driven by scope creep, underutilization, or misaligned staffing and escalate proactively
Manage and execute specialized client billing requirements
Coordinate billing for both agency fees and client passthrough costs
Ensure passthrough costs are properly coded, reconciled, and billed in accordance with client contracts
Partner with billing, AP, and delivery teams to resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
Act as the primary finance point of contact for internal delivery and client engagement teams on client-level financial matters
Provide clear, timely guidance to non-finance stakeholders on job tracking, financial processes, and best practices
Support training and enablement of delivery teams on accurate time tracking and job financial hygiene
Identify opportunities to improve job management, reconciliation, and billing processes
Support scalable finance operations as the agency grows
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 – 5 years' experience in a similar role (agency, brand or rights holder side)
Excellent attention to detail
Confident and motivated
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Process-driven with a focus on accuracy and consistency
Clear communicator who can translate financial requirements into practical guidance
Comfortable managing multiple jobs and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
Experience supporting revenue recognition and month-end close processes
Familiarity with time & expense systems and project management tools in an agency environment
3–5 years of finance experience in project accounting, or operational finance within a marketing, advertising, creative, or professional services agency
Exposure to job costing, project reconciliation, and agency billing
Understanding of agency revenue models, including retainers, project-based work, and passthrough costs
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders outside of a finance team
