Responsibilities
Preparing drawings, specifications and estimates for Capital, JOC and expense projects of moderate size and complexity
Issuing Job Orders on time, in accordance with established guidelines, on current projects and any new Job Order assignments
Submitting reports and recommendations of project inspections and investigations
Reviewing plans, shop drawings and change order requests
Maintaining status records of all projects
Qualification
Required
A baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university and one year of full-time satisfactory experience in electrical engineering work
A baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college and a master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university
A master's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university can only be used to substitute for one year of full-time satisfactory work experience in electrical engineering
A degree in any other engineering area, or in any engineering technology area, is not acceptable
Preferred
Electrical engineering principles and their application
Experience in the wastewater industry
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Project, MS Words, MS Excel, and E-Gordian software
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to technical and non-technical staff
Strong technical writing and communication skills
A valid NYS Driver's License which must be maintained for the duration of employment
