Responsibilities
Lead technical discussions to translate high‑level requirements into detailed hardware specifications
Support project planning by identifying design needs, risks, and integration challenges early in development
Develop electrical and pneumatic control system designs using industry‑standard CAD tools
Create accurate, manufacturable schematics, layouts, and panel designs
Prepare bills of materials and coordinate with purchasing and project teams on component selection and cost estimates
Design clean, robust interfaces for peripheral systems, including motion components, robotics, vision tools, safety devices, and industrial sensors
Work directly with assembly technicians to ensure proper wiring, plumbing, mounting, and routing of components
Support hardware debug during machine build, testing, and final system checkout
Participate in commissioning activities, assisting in system bring‑up and verification
Apply established safety and design standards related to power distribution, enclosure thermal considerations, and pneumatic/fluid system design
Document work clearly and maintain compliance with engineering processes and safety guidelines
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related engineering field
Experience with electrical CAD design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical)
Familiarity with safety analysis, SCCR, enclosure heat and power calculations, pneumatic design, and related engineering principles
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to collaborate across disciplines
Comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Fluent with engineering math, including scaling, ratios, and geometry
Hands‑on problem solver who enjoys troubleshooting non‑standard systems
Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage tasks independently
Creative thinker with a passion for building unique automation solutions
