Responsibilities
Lead and scale Greenboard’s engineering function
Write, review, and ship production code (especially early on)
Own system reliability, uptime, and incident response
Make architectural decisions that balance speed and durability
Build and scale secure, high-volume systems for regulated financial data
Partner closely with product and leadership on execution and prioritization
Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team
Establish a culture of accountability and extreme ownership
Qualification
Required
Significant experience as a senior engineer (Staff / Principal / Senior IC background)
Strong backend or full-stack engineering experience
Experience architecting and operating production systems
Experience owning on-call and production reliability
Willingness to be hands-on in an on-site startup environment
Preferred
Startup experience (Series A–Series B) or previous founder
Experience building or scaling early engineering teams
AWS or similar cloud infrastructure experience
Experience working with regulated or data-intensive systems
