Director of Tax, Treasury and Corporate Compliance
AgReserves, Inc. is seeking a Director of Tax, Treasury & Corporate Compliance who will provide hands-on leadership and operational oversight for tax compliance, corporate governance, and treasury operations. The role involves partnering closely with senior executives and managing tax filings, compliance frameworks, and financial planning activities.
Responsibilities
Lead all U.S. federal, state, and international tax compliance and filings, including income, indirect, property, unclaimed property, and fuel tax requirements
Oversee quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisions, deferred tax calculations, and tax account reconciliations
Direct audit responses, manage tax authority interactions, and develop audit defense strategies
Monitor tax law and regulatory changes, assessing business impacts and updating processes accordingly
Provide tax planning insights and technical research to the CFO, identifying opportunities to optimize structure and minimize liabilities
Lead tax aspects of acquisitions, restructurings, entity rationalization, and other strategic initiatives, including global transfer pricing and Pillar 1/2 requirements
Oversee treasury operations, including daily cash management, liquidity planning, cash forecasting, and banking relationships
Manage bank account structures, funding needs, and corporate card programs with strong control and policy oversight
Support corporate governance requirements, legal entity maintenance, state registrations, nonprofit compliance, and regulatory filings
Ensure effective internal controls across tax, treasury, and compliance, including SOX where applicable, and maintain audit‑ready documentation and compliance calendars
Drive improvements in tax technology, treasury systems, reporting tools, and workflow automation; develop dashboards and analytics for executive decision making
Lead, mentor, and develop staff; manage external service providers; and collaborate with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Investments on planning, audits, and strategic initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; Master's in Accounting or Tax and CPA preferred
10+ years of progressive corporate tax and compliance experience, including public accounting and industry roles; multinational/international experience
Deep expertise across corporate tax areas: income tax, sales/use tax, property tax, and nonprofit/501(c) compliance
Strong knowledge of ASC 740 (Accounting for Income Taxes), GAAP, and current FASB guidance
Proficient in Sarbanes‑Oxley 404 compliance and its application to tax functions
Experience in treasury and insurance risk management
Proven thought leadership with ability to translate ideas into practical, value‑added solutions
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, documentation, and work‑paper preparation skills
Ability to design, implement, and maintain best‑practice processes for efficiency and accuracy
Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and tax accounting/compliance software
This is an in-office position. Eligible candidates must be willing and able to work onsite at the SLC headquarters daily during standard office hours
Preferred
Master's in Accounting or Tax and CPA preferred
Spanish or Portuguese language skills helpful
