Responsibilities
Corporate Action Research and Impact Analysis: Learn about different types of corporate actions and analyze the impact to each index, ensuring that their implementation aligns with index methodology guidelines, and communicate findings to stakeholders
Index Backtesting Support: Assist in buildout of Developed Markets Equity indexes by researching companies, sourcing historical data, and testing calculations
Client Support: Provide timely and thorough responses to a range of index-related client inquiries, from corporate actions to statistical analysis and marketing collateral
Qualification
Required
Actively pursuing or recently obtained Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field
Excellent time management, prioritization, and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences
Comfort and confidence in speaking to groups, including both internal teams and external stakeholders or clients, including those unfamiliar with the subject matter
A highly motivated team player who demonstrates integrity and courage in all endeavors
Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
Preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel; ability to design, manipulate, and maintain large datasets with precision
Familiarity with programming languages/tools such as SQL, VBA, Matlab, Python, and other database query tools
Strong understanding of portfolio theory, multi-asset allocation models, and financial/portfolio mathematics
