Bank Financial & Operations Specialist

Responsibilities
Assist the Chief Operating Officer and various department leads with a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, encompassing both the asset and liability sides of the general ledger
Collect, clean and analyze data from core banking systems, ancillary platforms, and internal databases
Develop dashboards and improve reporting to monitor key performance indicators
Support regulatory reporting by ensuring data accuracy and compliance with federal and state banking regulations
Utilize technical tools to extract and visualize data and assist in disseminating data to various internal teams
Provide insights to leadership on customer behavior, product performance and peer trends
Assist with and analyze financial documents, investigate variances and address inquiries from senior management
Segment customer data to support targeted outreach, including marketing and personalized banking experiences
Provide assistance in preparation of board reporting with strong attention to quality control and accuracy
Participate in cross-functional projects to enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency
Coordinate strategic projects related to financial and operational goals as well as supporting other department projects as assigned and directed by the COO and President
Perform other accounting responsibilities and duties as assigned including support of lending and retail groups within the Bank

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related business field or equivalent training and experience
2+ years' experience within the banking environment
A good understanding of bank operations
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Excel, Power Point, Adobe, data visualization tools, FIS and/or other core processors
Report writing experience using core-banking data and business intelligence tools
