Responsibilities
Performing a variety of scheduled custodial services to maintain the cleanliness of County facilities
Providing leadership to Facilities Environment Technician staff
Collecting and disposing of refuse
Vacuuming
Dusting
Cleaning restrooms and replenishing soap, toilet paper and towels
Maintaining a good working relationship and working closely with the Facility Environment and Support Manager
Collaborating on some functions dealing with operations of the Asset Management Services Facility Environment division
Exercising independent judgment within the framework of applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures in the performance of duties
Planning and accomplishing work
Making decisions regarding customer needs
Leading other staff members
Qualification
Required
Graduation from High School or possession of a General Educational Development (GED) test equivalency AND three (3) years of experience in cleaning public facilities AND six (6) months of work experience as a lead worker of custodial staff; OR Graduation from High School or possession of a General Educational Development (GED) test equivalency AND five (5) years of work of custodial experience in cleaning public facilities
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of North Carolina for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
