Accounting Manager
LHH is a non-profit organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to provide strategic oversight for payroll and accounting. The role involves managing financial reporting, supporting a payroll team, and improving accounting processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic oversight of Payroll and Accounts Payable, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls
Guide and support payroll team members and AP staff, offering leadership without needing to process payroll directly
Manage organizational debt, including reporting, payment schedules, compliance, and long‑term planning
Oversee timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Strengthen accounting processes, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency and transparency
Support financial planning, budgeting, audits, and cross‑departmental collaboration
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong strategic payroll oversight experience
Proven experience managing Accounts Payable teams or functions
Background with debt management, treasury tasks, or loan administration
Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Preferred
Experience in non‑profit accounting preferred but not required
Familiarity with financial system transitions a plus
