Responsibilities
Execute manual testing, data validation, reporting, and operational systems
Validate business rules, calculations, and risk metrics against source data
Support UAT, regression testing and defect triage activities
Document test cases, defects, and test evidence for audit and compliance reviews
Partner with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to resolve defects
Ensure testing aligns with regulatory and enterprise quality standards
Acts as the primary point of contact for testing facilitators, executors, and validators, and demonstrates high level of accountability and responsibility
Conducts a wide range of quality-control tests and analyses with full competency to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards
Interfaces with Test Lead and Business Analysis team to understand business requirements for test case review sessions
Responsible for assisting team leadership/management for analysis, design and development of test and project plans on high-risk systems
Writes user stories for test cases of medium to high complexity
Possesses expertise in writing complex database queries
Develops test Cases, creates test data, executes complex test cases, documents defects, generates rest metrics and tracks defects to resolution
Assists Test Lead / Manager to generate accurate and clear project status reports
Proficient in database query languages such as SQL; Manages and directs the test team’s work products and processes
Documents defects and generates test metrics. Tracks defects to resolution within defined timeframe
Manages test environment, resources, issues, bugs and escalation to proper channel
Improves test quality and effectiveness by working with Development and Project Management teams to make the product more acceptable
Demonstrates superior testing or management techniques and has experience working within the same industry and application
Qualification
Required
hands-on experience in fraud or claims systems within the banking or insurance industries
local to San Antonio (no relocation)
strong analytics and problem-solving skills
experience working in regulated or enterprise environments
ability to test complex data driven applications
comfortable working with large datasets
collaborating with cross-functional teams
supporting audit, risk, and compliance requirements
strong communication skills
attention to detail
experience with 2+ of these applications - Fiserv, VISA, Fidelity, AMEX, FIS
