Marketing Communications Associate (Temporary)

MidPen is a leading non-profit developer dedicated to providing safe and affordable housing. The Temporary Marketing Communications Associate will support and enhance marketing communications activities by promoting the organization's messages across various channels.

Responsibilities

Creates day-to-day posts for MidPen's social media channels: Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook
Assists with producing collateral and materials such as newsletters, press releases, award submissions, event swag, flyers, and digital ads
Updates sections of MidPen’s corporate website as needed
Supports the planning and execution of MidPen corporate and employee events
Works collaboratively with key team members, departments, clients, and vendors
Performs other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s Degree in MarketingVerbalProficiency with Microsoft 365Written communicationSocial mediaAdobe Creative CloudCommitment to mission

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field and 1+ years of experience in a similar industry or sector
OR equivalent professional experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Canva, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook; familiarity with Loomly, Salesforce, Wordpress, Canto, and Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
Ability to travel to events and properties as needed
Must possess a valid California Driver's License, proof of current auto insurance, and reliable transportation
Commitment to MidPen's mission, core values, and guiding principles
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks
Frequently sitting
Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, grasp lightly/fine manipulation, grasp forcefully, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork or parts, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 15 pounds
Rarely twist/bend/stoop/squat, kneel/crawl
