Segra is one of the largest independent fiber network companies in the nation, and they are seeking a qualified Finance/Accounting Technician to oversee the financial administration of construction activities for customer projects. The role involves ensuring financial activity is accounted for, working closely with construction managers, and managing contractor purchase orders and invoices.

Responsibilities

Oversee the financial administration of construction activities for all customer projects as well as maintenance projects
Ensure that all financial activity for the market is accounted for
Work closely with market Construction Managers and Operations Leadership in cost tracking, projecting, reporting, and analysis
Ensure that all contractor purchase orders, invoices and change orders are being performed and all company accounting standards are met or exceeded
Plan, implement, and oversee projection meetings to ensure all projects are completed within the parameters set forth in the estimated CAPEX budget
Track inventory usage during the construction cycle

Required

College Degree Preferred – Associate's degree in related field and/or a combination of job-related experience
3-4 years of general accounting or related experience
Must have strong administrative and organizational skills, along with attention to detail
Ability to assess problems, research alternatives and pursue acceptable solutions while remaining within company guidelines
Must be innovative, able to reset priorities, and use resources to meet the needs of the business
Focus on superior customer service
Must have the ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
Must exhibit honesty, integrity in all interactions
Must possess strong work ethic in supporting customer needs, responding promptly and consistently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work
Some travel will be expected, both overnight and daily travel
Excellent computer skills with strong emphasis on Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Acrobat

Preferred

Customer Service, Record Keeping, Accounting, or Statistics experience preferred
