Investment Associate Intern, Summer 2026 (Teradyne, N Reading, MA)

Teradyne is a global test and automation specialist, and they are seeking an Investment Associate Intern to assist in sourcing, assessing, and executing investment deals. Responsibilities

Research nascent markets and technologies. Draw on the operating units, outside research, Internet research, and the startups to source insights
Source investment candidates through proprietary database searches, internal recommendations, and outside investor networking
Recommend investments through financial modeling, competitive analysis, and market research
Report status and recommendations to presentations for internal stakeholders, including for our Investment Committee (Teradyne’s CEO, CFO, and division presidents)
Support our portfolio companies. Advise the TV staff and perform additional research

Required

A rising senior or graduate student
Studying a mix of engineering and finance (ideally) or business
High velocity researching. The candidate must be able to quickly and incrementally provide insights, sometimes in a matter of just days, on new and emergent markets, technologies, and competitors. Use of AI tools, our commercial databases, and general web searches. Able to distinguish Internet hype from reality. Ability to justify sources and assumptions
Financial modeling and analysis. Must be able to read financial reporting and projections and create own models
Strong AI skills. The intern will recommend ways of increasing the unit's efficiency using state-of-the-art AI tools
Excellent presentation and communications skills. Ability to present complex data graphically
Comfort and ability to work on multiple projects at a time
Able to work with minimal guidance as well as part of a team
This is a hybrid position. Our directors work about 3 days per week at Teradyne's corporate headquarters in North Reading, MA, and the intern is expected to be in the office on those days
We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position
