Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and development of consumables and product components for diagnostic applications
Support assay development activities and integration of assays into device or consumable workflows
Contribute to sample pre-treatment strategies for complex biological samples (e.g., blood, saliva, serum, plasma)
Support system-level architecture decisions involving materials, fluid handling, and usability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate assay and system requirements into robust product designs
Provide input on manufacturability, scalability, and prototyping approaches
Support validation, testing, and technical troubleshooting

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field
5+ years of experience in product development for medical devices, diagnostics, or life-science tools
Experience with assay development, assay integration, or diagnostic workflow design
Experience working with biological samples such as blood, urine, serum, plasma, saliva, or other complex biofluids
Familiarity with sample pre-treatment, consumable-based systems, or regulated product development environments
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team

Preferred

Exposure to assay development, assay–hardware integration, sample pre-treatment, and cartridge- or microfluidic-based systems
Exposure to microfluidics, lab-on-chip, or cartridge-based systems
Startup or early-stage product development experience
