Responsibilities
Assist in the development of seasonal intimates and sleepwear collections including bras, panties, shapewear, and sleep sets
Support the creation of design concepts, mood boards, color stories, and material direction
Help prepare and maintain design boards, CADs, and line plans
Assist with print, pattern, trim, and fabric selection under the direction of the Senior Designer
Create and maintain detailed tech packs including sketches, measurements, construction details, and bills of material
Track samples throughout the development process including proto, fit, pre production, and top of production
Assist with fit sessions by taking notes, updating fit comments, and following up with vendors
Partner with Product Development to ensure designs meet cost, margin, and timeline requirements
Work cross functionally with Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production teams
Communicate with overseas vendors regarding sample requests, revisions, and timelines
Organize and manage sample libraries, trims, and fabric binders
Conduct trend, fabric, and competitive research within the intimates and sleepwear categories
Support market trips, store walks, and online research to inform design direction
Stay current on intimates construction, materials, and fit innovations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or a related field
One to three years of experience in apparel design, with intimates or sleepwear preferred
Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, and trims
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience with bras, panties, shapewear, or sleepwear
Familiarity with mass market or private label development
Understanding of fit standards, grading, and costing constraints
Experience working with overseas factories
