Responsibilities
Managing and resolving the most challenging issues for the Client’s Software Platform
Being the First last point of escalation within the technical support department
Mentoring and working with other junior team members in various technologies
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack
Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell
Knowledge on Database, Object Oriented languages (java, javascript)
The Technical Support Engineer must be able and willing to work outside of normal business hours (evening/weekend shifts, holidays) as needed
The ideal candidate is a college graduate with a Computer Science degree or equivalent and has had a developer or database administrator role for more than 2 years
Strong interpersonal skills in addition to strong technical skills
Preferred
Degree in computer science is preferred
Experience writing or debugging Object Oriented code (Java preferred, other relevant technologies ok)
Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
Experience administering: Linux/Unix OR Microsoft Server
