Engineering Technician

Responsibilities
Performing diagnostic evaluations and repairs on complex mechanical and electronic systems to ensure optimal performance and readiness
Conducting routine and corrective maintenance operations following established technical manuals and schematics
Preparing detailed maintenance records, test results, and corrective actions to support performance tracking and compliance requirements
Collaborating with senior engineers to implement upgrades and system improvements while adhering to DoD standards
Providing training and technical support to junior technicians during system integrations and operational testing
Qualification
Required
3-5 years experience in an engineering technician role
High school diploma or GED
Demonstrated ability to perform intermediate-level engineering tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and testing of mechanical and electronic systems in accordance with DoD specifications
Proficient in using advanced diagnostic tools and test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) to identify and resolve system malfunctions
Skilled in interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for system troubleshooting and repair
Possess an active DoD secret security clearance
U.S. citizenship
Eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance at the secret level
Preferred
Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks to assist in system modifications and upgrades
Experience with root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies to enhance maintenance workflows
Strong organizational skills to manage and document system data, maintenance schedules, and performance metrics
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support during system installations and upgrades
