Responsibilities
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, report damaged items, record shortages and report them to the supervisor or manager
Organize inventory and stock on the shop floor
Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move shipments from shipping and receiving to correct work area
Ensure proper flow of production parts through ready to process, finishing operations and shipping
Inspect parts to internal processes and customer specifications
Assemble cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers with regard to the item to be shipped
Ensure proper packing of parts for shipment
Perform other duties as necessary
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
1 to 2 years experience in an office or manufacturing environment
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills; attention to detail and follow through
Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time while performing duties
Must be able to lift a minimum of seventy pounds in a safe manner and request assistance when needed
Forklift certifiable
Preferred
Inventory control experience preferred
Basic understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel and Epicor
