Responsibilities
Draft, format, proofread, and file appellate briefs, motions, and related court documents
Assist with preparation of records, appendices, and exhibits for appellate filings
Coordinate and track court deadlines, docketing, and calendaring of hearings, filings, and oral arguments
Conduct cite-checking, legal research support, and document review under attorney supervision
Maintain case files, correspondence, and electronic records
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel as needed
Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, travel coordination, and expense reporting
Assist with trial record management and preparation for appeals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred
5+ years of legal assistant or paralegal experience, ideally with appellate or litigation exposure
Familiarity with state and federal appellate rules and electronic filing systems
Strong grammar, proofreading, and cite-checking skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software
Professional communication skills and discretion with sensitive information
