Purchasing Assistant
Carolina PRG has partnered with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify a Purchasing Assistant to support day-to-day procurement and supply chain activities. This role will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to help ensure materials and services are sourced efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
Support purchasing and procurement activities, including the creation and tracking of purchase orders
Coordinate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
Maintain purchasing records and documentation to support accurate reporting and audits
Assist with monitoring inventory levels and communicating replenishment needs
Partner with internal teams to resolve discrepancies related to orders, invoices, or deliveries
Help ensure purchasing activities align with internal policies and operational requirements
Qualification
Required
Prior experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support role
Familiarity with ERP systems; experience working in SAP is strongly preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication skills for working with vendors and cross-functional teams
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general business software
