Graduate Engineer, Municipal
Cobb, Fendley & Associates, Inc. is a company committed to providing innovative engineering and surveying solutions. They are seeking an entry-level Graduate Engineer, EIT to support engineering design tasks for various Municipal projects under direct supervision.

Responsibilities
Complete simple application of design and analysis using determined software and criteria, under the direction of a Professional Engineer
Utilize Company resources to begin understanding QA/QC processes and procedures
Work with supervisor, project manager, mentors, and various internal personnel to complete assignments within discipline
Utilize formal education including fundamentals of engineering and apply it in assignments
Work with internal clients daily and escalate concerns when needed
Support CobbFendley Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various Municipal projects
Under direct supervision, perform standard Engineering work requiring application of standard established techniques and procedures to carry out tasks
Perform civil engineering design, design calculations, analysis, field visits, plans, and interpret plans from other engineering related disciplines
Assist Project Manager by providing project engineering design and task management for assigned projects in a variety of applications ranging from feasibility studies to final as-built maintenance records
Prepare civil drawing packages, specifications, and construction cost estimates according to the project scope and schedule
Work with Project Manager to identify and resolve design conflicts. This includes assisting with clients to create drawing packages follow Client policies and guidelines, applicable codes, regulations, and rules
Utilize multiple software solutions to maximize the effectiveness and efficiencies of our services such as Autocad Civil3D, Microstation or ORD
Become familiar with all service offerings provided by CobbFendley to ensure the ability to look for project opportunities for all services provided by our firm within one (1) year
Travel to project sites and other CobbFendley offices, as required, to perform these duties
Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects
Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities
Qualification
Required
Basic understanding and minimal practical experience; requires guidance and supervision
Knowledge of standard engineering and scientific techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks
Skills including use of industry-standard computer software for the position (i.e., software such as CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, and Hydrologic/Hydraulic models)
Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office software
Preferred
Internship experience and EIT preferred
