Research Scientist III

Responsibilities
Lead and collaborate on interdisciplinary research proposals to major funding sources (e.g., National Science Foundation, National Aeronautics and Space Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, and private foundations)
Contribute to proposal idea generation and serve on proposal review panels
Plan and carry out innovative research at the intersection of outdoor recreation management, community engagement, and weather/climate
Produce high-impact peer-reviewed publications
Communicate research results broadly to public interest holders, including in outdoor recreation community, K-12 schools, mountain communities with substantial outdoor industry and/or economies
Support funded research projects in outdoor recreation, community engagement through NH Listens project, and other snow and climate monitoring
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Natural Resources, Earth and Environmental Science, Recreation Management and Policy or related field
NH Driver's License
