Labeling Analyst (Machine Learning / Autonomous Vehicles)

The role focuses on ensuring high-quality training and evaluation datasets for safety-critical autonomous driving systems through data labeling quality assurance and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
Review and validate data labels using internal and third-party labeling tools
Identify labeling defects, mislabels, missing labels, and data quality issues
Document findings, update issue trackers, and write clear QA reports
File detailed bugs and feature requests in tracking systems
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, infrastructure, and ML teams
Participate in defining tooling requirements, executing testing, and creating user-facing documentation
Support labeling workflows, including log selection, QA analytics, and process improvements
Liaise between internal teams and third-party labeling partners to resolve quality issues
Qualification
Required
Strong attention to detail and quality mindset
Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Clear written and verbal technical communication skills
Ability to document issues, workflows, and findings accurately
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
Willingness to work onsite in Pittsburgh, PA (2–3 days per week)
Preferred
Previous experience in QA, data annotation, data labeling, or quality review
Exposure to machine learning datasets, computer vision, or perception systems
Familiarity with bug tracking systems (Jira or similar)
Experience working with cross-functional technical teams
