Responsibilities
Setting up and Operating AV Equipment: Includes installing (sometimes), connecting, screens, cameras, microphones, and sound systems. Operate and monitor equipment during events, adjusting levels and managing video conferencing
Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Involves routine checks, testing, and resolving technical issues with audio, video, and equipment malfunctions. Basic repairs and maintenance are also part of this function
Client and Event Coordination: Collaborating with clients, organizers, and presenters to determine needs and provide technical support. This includes providing instructions and confirming room setups
Inventory and Reporting: Maintaining records of equipment, maintenance, and repairs, and reporting service issues
Staying Updated: Keeping current with the latest AV technologies, trends, and industry standards, including live streaming
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of AV and VTC equipment and systems (audio mixers, microphones, video switchers, lighting, cisco room kit, Logitech rally bar, Teams, Zoom and Zoom Webinar etc.)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work and quick decision-making under pressure
Physical ability to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs.) and stand for long periods
Comfort with technology and computer systems
Experience with streaming production tools is required (Teams, Zoom, and Webex)
Preferred
Active clearance, e.g., Public Trust, Secret, Top Secret
