Industrial Automation Field Service Engineer
Sinto America, Inc. is a leader in the design and manufacture of solutions for foundry, surface treatment, and material handling. The Industrial Automation Field Service Engineer will be responsible for leading system installations, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electrical issues, and providing training and support to customer operators.

Responsibilities
Lead system installation and run-off for new equipment—validating that each machine meets spec and safety before handover
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems; execute emergency fixes to reduce downtime in foundry and automotive plant environments
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize uptime and extend equipment life
Train customer operators and maintenance staff on safe operation and first-line troubleshooting
Document service activities, parts, and expenses accurately; familiarity with ERP reporting (e.g., Syteline) is a plus
Provide remote technical support to customers and internal teams when you’re not on the road
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required; associate degree or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred
PLC background: 4+ years preferred
4+ years in industrial maintenance or field service, ideally in foundry, casting, or heavy manufacturing; prior travel-based work is a plus
Expert troubleshooting—dig beneath symptoms to pinpoint root causes in controls and electro-mechanical systems
Ability to read electrical schematics, hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints
Clear communicator who can translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences; self-driven and effective working independently
Frequent standing, sitting, use of hands/tools, and verbal communication; occasional walking and reaching; lift/move up to 50 lbs unassisted
Occasional exposure to moving machinery, airborne particles, heat/cold extremes, and electrical risk
Up to 75% domestic travel with occasional international trips. Valid driver's license and a passport (or ability to obtain) required
Preferred
Associate degree or certification in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
PLC background: 4+ years preferred
Familiarity with ERP reporting (e.g., Syteline) is a plus
Prior travel-based work is a plus
