Responsibilities
Support supplier account management, administration, and negotiations
Lead sourcing and procurement activities for assigned new product development programs
Partner with engineering teams to ensure sourcing strategies are incorporated into product design and prototype builds
Prepare and process RFQs, requisitions, and purchase orders for prototype and pre-production builds
Project manage supplier deliverables and sourcing milestones to support program timelines
Represent the supply chain function on cross-functional program teams
Ensure product cost targets and program milestones are achieved
Facilitate smooth transition of sourcing activities to factory purchasing and materials teams
Develop inventory stocking and logistics strategies for long-lead components
Support cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Collaborate with category teams to identify and qualify alternate and regional suppliers to strengthen supply chain resiliency
Provide periodic program status updates to leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, or operations within an industrial manufacturing environment
Experience supporting new product development or product launch programs
Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience within the HVAC or related industrial equipment industry
Knowledge of MRP systems, inventory management, factory assembly processes, and bills of material (BOMs)
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced spreadsheet analysis
Experience presenting program updates to leadership
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
