People Technology Data Analyst (Oracle HCM Specialist)
Magnit Global is seeking an experienced Oracle HCM specialist to support a critical data remediation and system optimization initiative within their People Technology function. The successful candidate will lead data quality improvement efforts and serve as a subject matter expert on various Oracle HCM modules while performing complex data analysis and executing large-scale data corrections.

Responsibilities
Lead comprehensive audit and correction of critical employee data elements including
Perform systematic data validation against multiple sources and files to identify discrepancies
Execute high-volume data corrections through appropriate Oracle tools
Develop and maintain data quality tracking mechanisms
Partner with Compensation and other People teams to validate data
Document data issues, root causes, and remediation actions for ongoing reference
Provide support for system questions, unexpected results, or process failures
Research and troubleshoot system behaviors across modules and systems
Analyze integration points between Oracle HCM and connected systems (payroll, benefits, recruiting, rewards, etc.)
Identify system configuration issues contributing to data quality problems
Recommend and document configuration improvements to prevent future data integrity issues
Support user acceptance testing for system changes or updates
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) reports
Create reports for complex data extraction and analysis needs
Build queries for ad-hoc data analysis and validation
Document current state configurations, data definitions, and business rules
Create user procedures, guidelines, and job aids for data maintenance processes
Develop audit protocols and schedules for ongoing data quality monitoring
Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; OR equivalent work experience (4+ years in HRIS/People Technology roles may substitute for degree)
Minimum 2+ years hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion HCM in a production environment
Proven experience with Oracle HCM modules: Core HR, Compensation, Workforce Management
Demonstrated experience performing large-scale data cleanup, migration, or remediation projects
Oracle HCM data loading tools: HCM Data Loader (HDL)
Understanding of Personal Information / Employment / Assignment data model
Oracle reporting tools: OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) - creating and modifying subject area analyses
BIP (BI Publisher) - report development and data model creation
Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation
Advanced Microsoft Excel: Complex formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, etc.)
Pivot tables and advanced data analysis
Data validation and cleanup techniques
Macro/VBA knowledge a plus
Data analysis and validation methodologies: Ability to compare datasets across multiple systems
Statistical sampling and validation techniques
Root cause analysis for data discrepancies
Core HR module: Person, Employment, Assignment data model and relationships
Work relationship types and legal employer structures
Location, department, job, position structures
Personal information and contact management
Legislative Data Groups (LDG) and legal entity configurations
Compensation module: Salary basis and salary components
Compensation plans (individual, workforce, and total)
Grade structures and salary ranges
Eligibility profiles and plan enrollment
Variable compensation plans (bonus, commission)
Understanding of Oracle HCM security model: Role-based access control (RBAC)
Data security policies and security profiles
User provisioning and role assignment
Exceptional attention to detail - ability to work with high-volume data while maintaining accuracy
Analytical mindset - can identify patterns, anomalies, and root causes in complex datasets
Process-oriented thinking - naturally documents steps, creates structure, and builds repeatable workflows
Problem-solving ability - resourceful and persistent when troubleshooting complex system or data issues
Communication skills - can translate technical findings into business language for HR stakeholders
Time management - able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
Independence - comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision once onboarded
Collaboration - works effectively with Compensation, HRIT, HR Business Partners, and other stakeholders
Preferred
HR/People Operations background - understanding of HR business processes, employment lifecycle, and compliance requirements (FLSA, EEO, pay equity, etc.)
Oracle HCM implementation or configuration experience - participated in system implementation, upgrade, or major configuration project
Change management or project management experience - contributed to or led technology or process improvement initiatives
Multi-system integration experience - worked with data flows between HRIS and other enterprise systems (ATS, payroll, benefits administration, etc.)
Other Oracle modules: Talent Management (Performance, Goals, Succession), Benefits, Time and Labor, Payroll (understanding of Oracle Payroll or third-party payroll integrations)
Additional reporting/analytics tools: Power BI or Tableau for HR analytics and dashboards, Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Smart View for Oracle
Data integration tools: Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), File-based integration processes (FBDI)
SQL database knowledge - understanding of relational database concepts and ability to write advanced queries
People analytics experience - created workforce reports, dashboards, or metrics for executive or HR audiences
