Accounts Receivable Specialist
Services for the UnderServed is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage and process tenant rent payments and subsidy receipts. This role is essential for maintaining accurate records of receivables and ensuring timely application of payments to support the organization's financial health.

Responsibilities
Process and record tenant rent payments and subsidy receipts in a timely and accurate manner
Apply payments to appropriate tenant accounts and reconcile any discrepancies
Assist in the preparation of accounts receivable reports and maintain up-to-date records
Handle tenant inquiries related to billing, payments, and account status
Coordinate with the Revenue Cycle Supervisor to resolve any payment or billing issues
Perform regular account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding receivables
Support the implementation of best practices for accounts receivable processes
Assist with periodic audits and provide necessary documentation as required
Assist with seasonal Tasks assigned
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role
Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and principles
Effective written and oral communication skills
Hybrid work in the central office 2 Days per week
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience in a non-profit or affordable housing setting
Familiarity with accounting software and systems
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office suite and financial software
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills
