2+ years expWGI is a leading consulting firm specializing in transportation design projects. They are seeking an Engineer Intern to assist in the development of projects for various transportation agencies, working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Civil Engineering
Responsibilities
Develop engineering designs including geometric alignments, profiles, and cross sections for Roadway Design projects
Generate construction plans using Bently OpenRoads
Perform construction quantity estimates
Cross-train in other transportation disciplines, including drainage, signing and pavement marking, and maintenance of traffic
Develop plans, calculations and specifications among multi-discipline engineering teams
Qualification
Required
2-5 years of professional experience
Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college
Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam – EI registration a strong plus
Experience with Microstation/GEOPAK
Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and work on large multi-discipline engineering teams
Preferred
Experience with Bentley OpenRoads a plus
Familiarity with NCDOT plans preparation criteria and design standards a plus
