Responsibilities
Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses
Lead general ledger maintenance and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and other departments to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis
Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
Implement and optimize accounting processes, controls, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy
Support the preparation of consolidated financial statements and management reporting
Analyze financial trends and performance indicators to guide strategic initiatives
Lead or participate in cross-functional projects (e.g., ERP implementations, M&A integration, policy development)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a mix of public accounting and private industry
Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls (SOX compliance a plus)
Proven ability to work across departments and adapt to shifting priorities and business needs
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and desire to grow professionally
Preferred
Background in multiple industries or diverse business environments (e.g., startup, corporate, nonprofit)
Experience with financial modeling, data visualization, or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience within accounting teams
Comfortable working in a hybrid or evolving environment
