Responsibilities
Demonstrate expertise in troubleshooting equipment issues, utilizing strong technical knowledge to identify and address root causes
Perform repairs and maintenance on assembly line equipment, encompassing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components, to ensure optimal functionality
Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, including inspections, lubrication, and calibration, to enhance equipment reliability and minimize unexpected breakdowns
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration
Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other team members to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
Promptly respond to equipment breakdowns, prioritizing maintenance tasks based on production needs to minimize disruption
Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, procedures, and lockout/tagout protocols, always prioritizing a safe work environment
Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, including equipment condition, repairs performed, and parts used, ensuring accurate record-keeping
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute suggestions for optimizing assembly line efficiency and effectiveness
Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations, promoting a safe work environment for all team members
Support environmental initiatives and comply with relevant environmental regulations and standards
Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Quality Assurance teams to ensure that equipment maintenance activities meet established quality standards
Follow quality control processes and procedures to maintain consistent product quality
Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks while minimizing impact on production timelines
Contribute to maintaining equipment uptime to ensure the achievement of production targets
Identify opportunities for productivity improvements within the assembly process, actively participating in initiatives to increase efficiency and optimize resource utilization
Provide regular reports to the Maintenance Supervisor on work progress, equipment performance, and maintenance activities
Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor - Assembly to gather and analyze data for reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and relevance
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting of heavy objects
Preferred
Possess a strong mechanical and technical aptitude, demonstrating a solid understanding of equipment maintenance principles
Experience in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, utilizing well-honed technical skills
Knowledge of assembly line equipment and processes, enabling effective maintenance support
Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and methodologies, emphasizing the importance of proactive maintenance
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, fostering a conducive work environment
Previous experience in equipment maintenance or a related field is preferred, providing a solid foundation of knowledge and skills
