Responsibilities
Analyze federal income tax issues faced by a wide variety of clients in a variety of settings
Assist in advising clients on complex tax issues involving debt, derivatives and digital assets
Consider whether an instrument issued by a multinational corporation is debt or equity
Evaluate whether a derivative entered into by a hedge fund is properly classified as a notional principal contract
Assist with determining the tax consequences of a loan of digital assets
Qualification
Required
Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires US Tax professionals to co-locate in person 2 – 3 days per week
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
5+ years' experience in taxation at a law firm, public accounting firm or similar practice environment
One of the following active accreditations obtained: Licensed CPA in state of practice/primary office if eligible to sit for the CPA exam, If not CPA eligible: Licensed attorney, Enrolled agent, Certifications
Certified Financial Accountant (CFA)
Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
Ability to travel up to 10%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
An advanced degree such as MS in Taxation, JD and/or LLM
Strong analytical abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
