Mid LevelWalker Products Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer who will oversee the processes and procedures for qualifying new engine components and sources. The role involves creating and revising prints packages, evaluating engine components, and supporting manufacturing for sensor applications.
Manufacturing
Responsibilities
Operates test equipment for new engine components and new suppliers
Creates and revises prints and database information for new sensor applications and new vehicles
Completes the supporting documentation for the print packages, which includes the BOM's, the print checklists, and the wiring diagrams, schematics, custom fabrication drawings
Creates schematic and system drawings using schematic CAD program
Modifies existing applications where needed, initiates modifications when needed
Supports the manufacturing area on sensor design, packaging, and test issues
Continual improvement in meeting the timing requirements and accuracy for the above items
Evaluates engine components on vehicles
Develops and maintains a system for tracking timing and backlog
Develops designs for new sensor subcomponents where needed
Participates in the development of manufacturing systems for sensor subcomponents
Develops tests, specifications, and procedures for engine components

Qualification
Required
Four-year technical degree or experience judged to be equivalent
Familiar with Excel, Access, and Word, Autodesk Software
Good electrical/electronic background with component level troubleshooting experience
Previous experience with vehicles and engines
Flexibility to handle a variety of work assignments
Preferred
Previous experience with engine components is preferred
