Purchasing & Contracts Supervisor – Nutrition Services

Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) is seeking a Purchasing & Contracts Supervisor to join our Nutrition Services department. In this leadership role, you will oversee the acquisition of essential products and services that allow us to provide healthy meals to thousands of students daily. You will lead the development of formal bids, negotiate high-level agreements, and ensure our department has the resources we need to support IUSD families.

Responsibilities

Lead Procurement: Direct the acquisition of products and services for the Nutrition Services department.   It requires competitive, transparent processes—such as micro-purchases, small purchases, or formal bids—to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and compliant meals, funded by USDA and Nutrition Services
Master the Bid Process: Lead the development, issuance, and award of formal bids, RFPs, and informal procurements
Contract Management: Coordinate workflow and timelines, negotiate agreements, and monitor legal compliance
Partnerships: Facilitate purchasing and contracting partnerships to maximize district resources

Previous experience within a California school district environment is highly desirable
