Collections Specialist
Mega Capital Funding, Inc. is seeking a Collections Specialist to support the Executive Management Team's strategies. The role involves collecting outstanding payments from brokers, correspondents, and borrowers, while collaborating with various departments to resolve billing issues and ensure accurate collections.
Responsibilities
Collect outstanding EPO, EPP/EPC, and EPD’s owed to MCF from broker/correspondent via email and phone calls
Review and validate EPO, EPC/EPP, and EPD invoices received from investors and verify if the penalty is billable to broker/correspondent, within the terms of premium recapture period in the lender agreement
Verify and confirm with the Accounting Department if EPO, EPC/EPP and EPD’s billing from investors are accurate by reviewing lender agreements
Enter EPO, EPC/EPP and EPD billing information in Master EPO Master spreadsheet
Issue initial and final billing notices to Broker or Correspondent
Review and monitor EPO Master spreadsheet outstanding billings daily
Assign outstanding billings to the attorney to issue broker/correspondent a demand letter after expiration of final billing notice
Work with attorney to determine further legal action (lawsuit) against broker and correspondent to collect outstanding balances owed to MCF
Assist various loan serviced released investors when informed of missing payments by emailing and calling borrower and coordinating collection efforts with broker or correspondent. Direct calls to borrowers will be required
Provide updates to the Senior Management Team on an as needed basis
Assist in other duties as assigned by the Executive Management Team
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of collection experience, preferably BTB collection
Intermediate knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
Excellent work ethic, high productivity, and acute attention to detail
Must possess a short learning curve related to integration of new skills and tasks
Superior written and verbal communication, follow up skills and a strong sense of accountability
Stellar organization skills
Ability to multi-task and quickly adapt to changing work assignments
Preferred
MeridianLink experience is preferred but not required
