Responsibilities

Provide technical expertise on the technical solutions within the product portfolio
Perform industry research and make recommendations regarding technical enhancements, new features, technology, and infrastructure to continuously improve technical solutions within the product portfolio
Ability to provide after-hours support in an on-call rotation
Lead technical team through problem determination and resolution on highly complex problems
Working closely with IT management on project and resource planning, including effort estimation
Lead and perform development, debugging, and technical support for technical solutions within the product portfolio
Ability to work concurrently on multiple assignments with similar deadlines

Required

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
3+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years of experience in analyzing complex business problems or processes and translating business requirements into technology solutions that factor in system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies, scalability, and total cost of ownership
Advanced knowledge of software engineering languages used in the product portfolio (SQL, C#, and .NET)
Proficiency in software development best practices related to security, scalability, availability, and performance
Experience in technical planning and estimating complex projects

Preferred

5+ years of software engineering experience
Experience in leading complex technical efforts from inception to implementation
Strong knowledge troubleshooting performance issues with data store technologies such as SQL Server 2019/2022, Azure SQL
Advanced knowledge of software engineering languages used in the product portfolio (SQL, C#.NET, Databricks, jQuery)
Experience with Active Directory permissions and Group Policy
Strong history of working with payments systems
Experience in troubleshooting complex systems and comfortable in high-pressure situations
Advanced knowledge with logging/reporting tools such as SPLUNK, Dynatrace, and Service Now
Ability to foresee and plan technical enhancements to meet business needs
