Human Resources Specialist
Responsibilities
Coordinating, facilitating, and documenting new hire orientations
Conducting kitchen and work‑area tours
Introducing new employees to key team members and leaders
Managing the mentorship program, including assignments and follow‑up
Ensuring completion of the first two weeks of training
Organizing new hire performance check‑ins and feedback processes
Leading the new employee assessment program and maintaining accurate records
Partnering closely with Operations leadership to support onboarding needs
Working a flexible schedule, including approximately 25% off‑shift hours
Assisting with additional HR and operational tasks as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma required
Strong communication and people skills
Ability to facilitate training and maintain documentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred
Associate degree preferred
Bachelor's degree a plus
Human Resources, training, or organizational development background preferred
Experience in staffing, mass hiring, or administrative support considered
Background in commercial kitchen or airline environments is an advantage
Experience in unionized workplaces is a plus
Familiarity with ATS platforms (e.g., Taleo) is an advantage
PHR certification is a bonus
