Quality Control Inspector

Nesco Resource is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to support the inspection of aircraft engine components within a regulated manufacturing and FAA repair station environment. The role focuses on verifying dimensional and visual compliance of precision engine hardware using traditional inspection tools and CMM equipment.

Responsibilities

Inspect aircraft engine components throughout manufacturing and repair processes, including in-process and final inspections
Perform dimensional inspections using CMM equipment, with emphasis on Zeiss Calypso software
Conduct visual inspections of turbine and compressor hardware, rotating and static components, and related engine parts
Review engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to confirm part conformity
Document inspection results accurately and maintain required quality records
Identify nonconforming material and assist with corrective action and disposition activities
Support return-to-service inspections and related documentation
Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to resolve inspection issues
Assist with internal audits and regulatory inspections as needed
Ensure inspection tools and equipment are properly handled and calibration requirements are followed
Comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Required

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training is a plus
1–5 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
Experience performing CMM inspections using Zeiss Calypso
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques
Comfortable working independently and in a team-based environment
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Authorized to work in the United States
Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to perform close visual inspections of small and detailed components

Preferred

Inspection of aircraft engine components such as blades, vanes, disks, cases, shafts, and seals
Exposure to FAA regulations, including Part 145 repair station requirements
Experience with engine overhaul, repair, or return-to-service processes
Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) and nonconformance reporting
Background working with tight tolerances and complex geometries
