Responsibilities
Perform 'mini-audits' throughout the year (walkthroughs, testing, review of internal controls)
Prepare documentation, variance analyses, and audit-ready schedules
Support year-end external audits with best-in-class workpapers
Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for multiple entities
Analyze results, create memos, and present findings to clients
Identify accounting issues and apply US GAAP guidance
Serve as the main point of contact for CFOs, controllers, and business owners
Present financials and recommendations in a clear, concise way
Assist with compliance filings across various states (training provided)
Learn the captive insurance model — a recession-proof industry with huge growth
Qualification
Required
3–6 years in public accounting (Big 4 or Regional preferred)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, workpaper prep, and audit methodology
Experience performing walkthroughs, testing, and audit documentation
Excellent communication skills and confidence working with clients
Interest in a role with variety, autonomy, and continuous learning
Preferred
CPA or CPA-eligible
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP
Exposure to insurance, financial services, or regulated industries
