Responsibilities

As a Senior Leadership Team (“SLT”) member, you will partner closely with SLT to provide timely and accurate financial data, so they can effectively manage their areas of responsibility
Manage the month-end close process accurately and on time, in alignment with corporate deadlines
Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations and financial reports and statements to ensure compliance with various statutory requirements, generally accepted accounting principles, and established policies and procedures
Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and other financial data
Maintain accounting controls and audit documents
Prepare journal entries and maintain and reconcile accounts
Assist in the preparation of various special reports as directed
Oversee the timely payment and accuracy of sales and use tax returns
Assist with external audit requests and provide the requested information
Assist in the review for proper accounting treatment for all transactions
Provide technical accounting support to various departments
Assist with the development, review, and updating of accounting policies, procedures, checklists, and related documentation concerning assigned functions and responsibilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Required

A strong passion for the fitness industry
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
Minimum 10 years of Accounting/Finance experience, including previous supervisory experience
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the full accounting cycle
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite of products - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with Sage Intacct or other similar multi-entity integrated accounting software
Well-organized, proactive, able to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
Ability to adhere to the highest standards of confidentiality and discretion in all proprietary business, financial, and employee matters
Ability to adhere to a high level of attention to detail
Ability to maintain open, direct, positive, and objective lines of communication with management

Preferred

CPA certification
Experience in the fitness industry
