Responsibilities
Define, consult, defend & implement SRE / DevOps frameworks / pipelines for cloud native product/platform, addressing NFR – scale, resilience, availability along with high quality high frequency product releases
Identify opportunities for new customers – create proactive pitches based on business need and technology
Lead preparation of RFP responses for SRE and DevOps
Gather business requirement and convert them into solution in line with customer objectives
Build POC of cloud-based design ideas and convince internal/external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
8-10 years of overall experience and 4 years of application Monitoring & Cloud DevOps
Expertise and hands-on experience in architecting and supporting consumer facing, high performance, scalable & reliable Cloud based product / platform on hyperscalar – cloud PaaS services, IAC, automation, multi-cloud/hybrid cloud scenarios
Strong background in Product Development with good exposure to Fullstack, Distributed Microservices, Database, Cloud PaaS/IaaS leverage etc
Knowledge of modern architecture patterns and engineering best practices. Basic knowledge of Infrastructure topology of Cloud based distributed applications with understanding of Deployment architecture, Network & security boundaries, Management Policies etc
Strong experience in setting up CI/CD pipeline in open source tooling. Build end-to-end CI/CD, deployment pipeline for microservices based application for cloud platforms incorporating best practices
Strong expertise in scripting language and Infrastructure as a Code. Expertise in Devops Tools & Framework – Jenkins, Azure Devops, AWS devops services, Terraform, YAML, Ansible, as Chef, Puppet, Git/GitHub, Github Actions, etc
Good understanding of Proactive/Preventive Monitoring, Full stack Observability, related tools/frameworks
Lead efforts to enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of critical systems. Diagnosing system performance issues and increasing reliability of services you own
Participating in design, development, improving, operating and automation of the observability/monitoring/alerting stack for enterprise customers
Managing Kubernetes clusters, Docker and remote resources through infrastructure and configuration management
Knowledge of Chaos Engineering concepts
Must have strong knowledge of failure modes, resiliency patterns, and techniques to enable robust, self-healing architecture
Strong Experience with Newrelic, Grafana, Prometheus and Influx DB, Splunk, ELK or other logging / Observability tools
Design, implement, and maintain automation tools and frameworks to streamline operational processes (Java/Python automation)
Drive the integration of observability automation into the CI/CD pipeline
