Responsibilities
Provide customer service to visitors and staff by following post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including interior spaces, exterior grounds, and perimeter points, with working conditions that may vary by location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and requesting assistance when needed
Monitor access points and public areas, observe for unusual activity, and help to deter policy violations through a visible presence and verbal direction
Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and/or site representatives, and assist with security-related administrative tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Be able to ride a bike
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred
Being able to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred
A guard card/license is preferred
