Responsibilities
Operate survey equipment to collect and/or utilize survey data for construction layout, boundary surveys and topographic surveys
Input data collected in the field using specialized codes and software
Maintain and monitor assigned survey equipment to ensure cleanliness and readiness
Take precise measurements and mark construction layout points with the use of survey hubs/nails; write up and set survey stakes neat and legibly
Prepare and stock the crew truck including the equipment/materials to be used for the day
Assist with the download/upload of survey data onto survey data collectors and network servers; assist with processing, analyzing and editing of field data
Assume the duties and responsibilities of the crew
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency; 1 to 3 years' experience in performing land surveys
Valid North Carolina Class C Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, or the ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Experience in surveying, particularly on construction projects
Ability to balance multiple tasks delegated to you and prioritize based on crew/job needs
Ability to read and understand complex plan sheets
Familiarity with surveying software and data collection
