Responsibilities
Decompose features into well-defined user stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria, including reporting requirements where applicable
Understand and champion the overall product vision and customer experience, ensuring alignment across the Scrum team
Partner closely with UX designers and development teams to manage backlog grooming, prioritize bug fixes, UX enhancements, and feature expansion or elimination
Ensure backlog grooming is conducted at the right cadence and that the team maintains a minimum of two sprints of groomed backlog
Negotiate and manage cross-team dependencies with other Product Managers and commit to dependency deliverables
Attend sprint demos and accept stories that meet the Definition of Done
Clearly and consistently communicate user stories and their alignment to customer and business requirements
Monitor Agile metrics and KPIs (e.g., POCR, progression, conversion) and proactively identify opportunities for improvement
When applicable, collaborate with Legal teams to review content and design, analyze feedback for legal risk, and determine required changes
Take ownership of the Scrum team’s overall output, including UX, technology, and user story quality
Understand and manage technical debt, working closely with development and architecture teams to define and prioritize technical debt backlog items
Provide inputs to release management, including defect criticality and risk assessment, to support informed production deployment decisions
Qualification
Required
SAFe Agile–trained professional with 7+ years of experience in product definition, feature definition, and delivery
Strong hands-on experience defining Epics, Features, and User Stories with clear, testable acceptance criteria
Proficient with IBM Rational tools, JIRA, AgileCraft, Kanban, and Agile development methodologies
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and SharePoint
Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional teams
