Responsibilities
Partner with the Director of QA and QA Tech Lead to ensure testing initiatives are being delivered on time while ensuring high quality releases
Apply domain and industry knowledge along with QA best practices in test execution, bug and defect reporting and documentation of test results
Serve as the “voice of the customer,” by testing from a user’s perspective, converting product requirements and acceptance criteria to test cases assuring a first-class user experience across all applications and services
Partner with the Director of QA and QA Tech Lead to Identify and highlight cross-functional impacts of development delivery and downstream and/or unintended impacts or risks to be mitigated
Be the “custodian of quality” in internal and stakeholder meetings (e.g., Planning, Refinement) by seeking and providing clarity, risk assessment, estimation, and collaboration between teams and planning functions to improve delivery velocity and quality of products
Possess an exceptional attention to detail along with analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure the highest standard of test and product quality
Build cross-organizational awareness of issues and readiness for software releases through communication with development team and stakeholders ensuring a smooth release process of high-quality products and features for our customers
Partner with the Director of QA to deliver on quality goals that support the overall test strategy, organizational KPIs, and the QA team’s process and procedures
Qualification
Required
1- 5+ years quality assurance experience, preferably in a SaaS environment and/or in the financial services/fintech industry
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
Self-starter who understands how to effectively deal with ambiguity and with changing priorities
Deep understanding of agile testing methodologies, concepts and practices throughout the SDLC process
Great team player – must have the ability to deal with conflicts, manage negotiations, provide feedback and clarity while driving quality practices with the objective of achieving the required outcomes
Preferred
Experience in Agile Scrum/Agile Development and Testing Methodologies with a focus on test execution, test planning, documenting test results, release and change management process and defect management activities
