Electrical Engineer - Hardware & Avionics
Castelion is redefining defense development through rapid iteration and modern commercial manufacturing. They are hiring Electrical Engineers to support board-level design, bring-up, and testing across their avionics organization, focusing on schematic and PCB design, board bring-up, and lab testing.
Responsibilities
Design and develop board‑level electrical hardware including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection
Perform board bring‑up, validation, and debugging in the lab
Test reference boards and early prototypes using standard lab equipment
Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis of hardware issues
Work with avionics, test, and manufacturing teams to iterate designs quickly
Document designs, test results, and engineering changes clearly
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
Experience with PCB design tools (Altium preferred)
Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies
Strong understanding of core EE principles such as analog/digital circuits, power, signal integrity basics
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, highly collaborative environment
Preferred
Experience taking a PCB from concept through bring‑up and test
Exposure to embedded systems or firmware interaction
Familiarity with aerospace, automotive, robotics, or other high‑reliability hardware
Basic scripting or programming experience (Python, C/C++)
