Responsibilities

Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team while staying true to production goals and how they influence design decisions
Provide cost trades during design cycles to describe and defend producibility choices
Knowledge base should include production level support manufacturing machined details, mechanical assembly, mechanisms assembly and test, and hands on assembly experience

Required

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
3+ years of professional experience
Demonstrated experience with design for producibility (DFx/DFm) principles
Experience with machining and mechanisms manufacturing
Direct experience as a manufacturing engineer or similar technical authority in production
Working knowledge of CAD systems and Manufacturing ERP systems, such as CREO and VE-CAMs
Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and experience with precision machining/tolerances, and assembly sequences
Demonstrated understanding of industry standards for mechanical assembly requirements
You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills complimenting the ability to make timely, balanced decisions
Hands on experience with mechanical assembly processes
New Process development and experience validating processes for flight applications
Advanced software skills (VBA, MS Access, Excel macros, JAVA, SharePoint)
Active clearance or Ability to obtain a security clearance
