Responsibilities
Manage and immerse oneself into multiple internal strategic and tactical projects from initiation to closure
Guide and support workflow intake and roadmap planning in partnership with business stakeholders enabling decision-makers to discern appropriate prioritization of work
Guide the definition of project scope, goals, tasks, roles, timelines, dependencies and resource requirements at the beginning of each project, adjusting as needed with the team throughout the project life cycle
Identify the business problem trying to be solved and work together with cross functional teams to facilitate the definition of business and technical requirements
Assemble the project team, develop a project plan and monitor/report on overall project performance and impact on budget, scope and deadlines
Facilitate meetings and communication between the project team and business stakeholders to determine their needs to develop or adjust plans as needed
Serve as strategic thought partner with project team and business stakeholders by sharing ideas for improvement/innovation, conflict resolution, and suggestions for next steps to progress towards overall vision
Follow an agreed upon project management methodology
Guide the definition and execution of test and training plans
Manage project vendors and external partners as needed
Confidently interact with senior management and ensure key stakeholders are well-informed through the project lifecycle and approve of any change in plans
Promote teamwork and healthy team morale
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree preferred; or other aligned coursework/experience
Minimum 5-10 years experience successfully managing projects
Proven track record of successfully completing multiple large-scale and small-scale technology projects involving cross functional teams in a corporate environment
Proven proficiency in Project and Program management
Knowledge of MS Office Tools
Successful track record of working with business partners to identify, develop, and execute on their strategic roadmaps
Experience designing and scoping IT solutions that meet customer needs with a realistic long-term support model
Experience delivering high profile, high visibility IT projects simultaneously
Experience in drafting and driving RFP's with stakeholders
Project Management Knowledge: Has an understanding of PM concepts and processes and employs effective strategies appropriately, recognizing there is no one-size-fits-all approach
Ability to Deliver in Matrixed, Corporate Environment: Is able to successfully deliver large-scale and small-scale projects involving cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed, corporate environment
Critical Thinking: has strong critical thinking abilities, is able to piece together learnings to anticipate roadblocks, proactively identify measures to resolve/mitigate, and connect team members to solution jointly
Issue Resolution: can identify, resolve, or assist in the resolution of scope, time, resource obstacles or conflicts by bringing in necessary stakeholders at the right time and escalating to decision makers when appropriate
Organization: has strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage workload
Managing In the Grey: is adept at managing grey/uncertain areas through team collaboration and clear communication
Adaptability: thrives in a fast-paced environment with evolving objectives, embracing the highly matrixed environment where unplanned work and new initiatives are expected
Customer Focus: Is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers/ Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services/ Acts with customers in mind/ Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect
Written and Verbal Communication: Ability to communicate effectively between technical side and business, breaking down complex topics to clarify key information for both parties/ Is able to write and speak clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles/ Can get messages across that have the desired effect
Capacity to Leverage AI: has basic ability to leverage AI such as Microsoft Copilot for efficiency in meeting management, identifying action items and follow-ups, etc
Capacity to Grasp Domain Specific Knowledge: Is consistently curious about the subject matter at hand and quickly grasps domain-specific knowledge to help drive projects
Comfort Around Higher Management: Can deal comfortably with more senior managers/ Can present to more senior managers without undue tension and nervousness/ Understands how senior managers think and work/ Can determine the best way to get things done with them by taking their language and responding to their needs/ Can craft approaches likely to be seen as appropriate and positive
Preferred
PMP certification is a plus; or other project management-related certifications/ experience
