Responsibilities
Understand and balance business objectives with technical and engineering requirements to deliver effective digital solutions
Conduct cost, benefit, and risk analyses for proposed products and services; recommend solution alternatives throughout the product lifecycle
Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to gather, analyze, synthesize, and document business and system requirements
Perform data analysis and translate business requirements into:
Technical and engineering specifications
Acceptance criteria
User experience requirements
System validation documentation
Ensure technical specifications support final solution design, development, integration, or acquisition by Engineering/IT teams
Support product and operations leaders in coordinating deployments and deliverables, as applicable
Contribute to the development of project documentation, including product documents, charters, work plans, timelines, and assignments
Apply systems engineering methodologies consistently throughout the product and project lifecycle
Research, analyze, validate, and maintain accurate business and system requirements
Define and manage scope boundaries for routine and foundational products with clarity and precision
Plan, estimate, and monitor scope, schedules, and deliverables for assigned products
Perform root cause analysis to identify issues and proactively propose solutions
Review and interpret vendor-provided solution architectures and translate them into scoped technical requirements for integration within systems and workflows
Support product implementation and change management efforts for solutions not requiring formal implementation team engagement
Demonstrate leadership experience in a Product Owner capacity within cross-functional teams
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of experience in a Product Owner or similar role
Experience developing mobile and/or web-based products
Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
Working knowledge of product development and technical architecture
Proficiency with analytical tools and data-driven decision-making
Strong prioritization and backlog management skills
Ability to identify and mitigate roadblocks impacting sprint or release goals
Proven ability to manage changing and competing stakeholder needs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or Healthcare plus 3+ years of relevant technical experience OR 7+ years of relevant technical experience
Scrum Product Owner Certification (must be obtained within 1 year)
Preferred
Experience within a healthcare environment
Knowledge of healthcare systems and EPIC APIs
